Hi, I’m Michelle Beck, the heart and soul behind Beck Studios. I’m a passionate photographer who loves to capture the raw emotions and unique moments of weddings, portraits, and commercial photography, with a special focus on architectural and interior design. Whether it’s the joy on a couple’s face during their wedding day or the elegance of a well-designed space, I feel every moment deeply and ensure that it’s immortalized in a beautiful blend of documentary and editorial styles.

Why the name Beck Studios?

I chose the name Beck Studios for my business because of the strong connection I feel to my name and its significance in my life. While I no longer operate out of a physical studio, the "Studios" part remains to represent the variety and versatility of the work I do. It also leaves the door open for future endeavors and expansions as I continue to evolve in my career.

When I’m not behind the lens, I’m a proud mum to two little girls who keep me busy and remind me daily of the beauty in the little things. Together with my partner and our girls, we live on a peaceful lifestyle block just outside of Outram, Dunedin. It’s here, surrounded by nature and inspiration, that I find much of my creativity and drive.

Oh, and here’s a little secret…

I’m not just a photographer. I’ve got a not-so-secret party trick: I am also a singer and often play music gigs! Creativity runs deep in my veins, and whether through music or photography, I’m always looking for ways to express and connect with others.
